I began as a Marketing Intern for the Career and Connections Institute at Gordon College in the fall of 2022. During this time, I learned the style and standards that the Institute used, and designed many graphics for social media and events. Toward the end of the year, I transitioned into the role of Lead Marketing Intern, which allowed me to have more freedom in the designs I created and the decisions I made, all while managing our Marketing team.
Above: This was my first solo creation as I transitioned into being the Lead Marketing Intern. It is the poster for annual Calling and Career Conference, posted in all buildings around campus. I adapted this poster design to several types of digital media as well for widespread dispersion.
Above: Almost exactly a year after the previous design, I again made the branding for the Calling and Career Conference, taking into consideration the Brand Refresh that Gordon did during the year. CCI has a distant set of brand standards but remains closely tied with the College, so a balance had to be found between the two styles. This is just a sample of the various layouts and adjustments that had to be made for presentations, TV screens, posters, email banners, and more.
Above: Instagram templates in both square and story form for monthly "Success Stories", highlighting recent graduate accomplishments. CCI had been using another template for years, so I designed a new one to match the refreshed feel of CCI in recent years.
Above: I again created a refreshed version of the previous "Meet the Team" templates that CCI had used for years, retaining the spirit of CCI and bringing it into a new era for our Instagram page.
Above: As Lead Marketing Intern, I was heavily involved with all CCI event planning as well as the marketing, including designing print material such as bingo cards.
Above: Conceptualized, compiled, and edited this Instagram reel to show the fun and "real" side of CCI. Often, career departments can have a bland connotation, so it was important to bring fun and relevant social platforms to our social media.
